Booking through Cal.com
BoostGate uses Cal.com to provide online booking and scheduling.
When you book a Free Check, walkthrough or call, information you submit through the booking interface — such as your name, email address, booking time and any information you provide in booking questions — may be processed by Cal.com to provide the scheduling service.
Cal.com acts as a service provider processing booking information in connection with BoostGate’s account. Cal.com also operates under its own privacy and security arrangements.
Information obtained from public sources
BoostGate may also use publicly available business contact information when identifying and contacting businesses that may reasonably be interested in our services.
This may include information published on business websites, Google Business Profiles, business directories, Companies House or other publicly accessible business sources.
Where information identifies an individual, we treat it as personal information and handle it in accordance with applicable data-protection and direct-marketing law.

Our lawful bases
Under UK data-protection law, we need a lawful basis for using personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, we rely on:
- Steps before a contract — where you ask us to provide information, discuss a potential service or take steps before entering an agreement.
- Contract — where processing is necessary to provide services you have agreed to purchase.
- Legitimate interests — where reasonably necessary to operate, secure and develop BoostGate, respond to business enquiries, maintain business relationships or carry out appropriate business-to-business outreach, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we need to keep or use information to comply with the law.
- Consent — where consent is legally required, including for non-essential cookies or similar technologies that require consent.
Where we rely on legitimate interests for direct business outreach, you have the right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time.
Who we share information with
We only share personal information where reasonably necessary to operate BoostGate or provide a requested service.
This can include:
- Cal.com — for booking and scheduling calls, Free Checks and walkthroughs
- Resend — for transactional and enquiry-related email delivery
- website hosting and infrastructure providers
- business email and communications providers
- website security and technical service providers
These providers may process personal information on our behalf as part of providing their services.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or where necessary to protect the security of BoostGate and its users.
We do not sell personal information.
International data transfers
Some service providers used by BoostGate may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.
Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism is used.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
As a general approach:
- ordinary enquiries and prospect communications may be kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact
- client, contractual, payment and accounting records may be retained for longer where required for tax, accounting, contractual or legal purposes
- security and technical records are kept only for the period reasonably required for security and operational purposes
- where someone asks us not to contact them for marketing, we may retain limited information on a suppression or do-not-contact list so that we can respect that request
Information may be retained for longer where there is a legal requirement, dispute or other legitimate need to do so.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we aim to use appropriate safeguards for the nature of the information we hold.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to:
- request access to your personal information
- ask us to correct inaccurate information
- ask us to erase information in certain circumstances
- ask us to restrict how information is used
- object to certain processing
- receive certain information in a portable format
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
You have the right to object to your personal information being used for direct marketing.
To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact hello@boostgate.co.uk.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how BoostGate handles your personal information, please contact us first at hello@boostgate.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection. Information about raising a concern is available at ico.org.uk.
